375mm Seat Post in 52cm Bike - Abnormally Long?
I currently have an alloy seat post in a carbon frame. I have no issues with it, no problem with comfort either, but I'm not a fan of the potential for galvanic corrosion. Would maybe like to switch to a carbon post just for peace of mind.
I found a beautiful NOS carbon Colnago seat post, but it's 375mm long. Preliminary research shows that this seems abnormally long for a road seat post, especially for a smaller 52cm bike. I also am more of a french fit, so I don't have a lot of post showing.
I'm sure it would fit, but isn't it abnormally long for my application? Not interested in taking a hacksaw to a nice new carbon post.
