Two children aged 7 and two adults injured as shop front collapses in Liverpool
TWO seven-year-olds and two adults have been hurt after a shop front collapsed in Liverpool today.
Officers rushed to the scene in Birkenhead after the group were injured.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson said they had been called to the scene just after midday.
They said: “Officers were called to Oxton Road at around 12.10pm to reports of a shop front collapsing.
“Emergency services are in attendance and two women aged 35 and 24, a 7-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy are believed to have sustained minor injuries.
“Enquires are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
A North West Ambulance Service spokesperson said they had been called to reports a sign had fall off a shop.
One person was taken to hospital.

It comes after scaffolding collapsed from a building in Reading this afternoon.
