Herbalife stock down 8% after company's Q2 misses views
Shares of Herbalife Nutrition Ltd. fell 8% in the extended session Thursday after the company reported second-quarter adjusted per-share profit and sales below Wall Street expectations. Herbalife said it earned $77 million, or 54 cents a share, in the quarter, compared with $94 million, or 62 cents a share, in the year-ago period. Adjusted for one-time items, Herbalife earned 70 cents a share, compared with 80 cents a share a year ago. Sales fell 3.5% to $1.2 billion. Analysts polled by FactSet had expected Herbalife to report adjusted earnings of 78 cents a share on sales of $1.3 billion. Herbalife had ended the regular trading day down 0.6%.
