President Trump dramatically escalated his ongoing trade war with China today, announcing on Twitter a new 10 percent tariff on $300 billion of Chinese goods, set to take effect on Sept. 1. The move, in combination with tariffs the president has already put into place, will effectively tax all Chinese goods coming into the U.S.
