Petition Started To Save 'Tron 3'
Late last week, it was reported that Disney had decided to axe the developing "Tron 3" aka "Tron: Ascension." Things had been moving along slowly over the past few months, with production aiming to gear up this fall in Vancouver, with director Joseph Kosinski, and stars Garrett Hedlund and Olivia Wilde, all slated to return. But then, "Tomorrowland" underwhelmed both critically and commercially, and perhaps fearing sinking money into a sci-fi sequel which there might not be an audience for, Disney decided to yank the plug on "Tron 3." So, game over, right? Well, not so fast for some fans.
A petition has started up to save the movie on Change.org, and it has already amassed 10,000 signatures, with a goal of 15,000. Here's what Lucas Lowman, who started the campaign, has to say about the push to keep the project alive:
