Ratings: NBC Wins With NFL Preseason Kickoff, CW’s ‘iZombie’ Adds Viewers for Series Finale

NBC doubled its closest competitor in key demo ratings last night when we got our first signs of life for the 2019 NFL season. On The CW, “iZombie” added a decent amount of viewers for its series finale.

NBC was first in ratings with a 1.4 rating/8 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 5 million, according to preliminary numbers. That was all the Hall of Fame Game, which saw the Denver Broncos defeat the Atlanta Falcons 14-10 in the earliest Preseason action.

Fox was second in ratings with a 0.7/4 and in viewers with 2.88 million. “MasterChef” at 8 p.m. posted a 0.8/5 and 3.3 million viewers. At 9, “Spin the Wheel” had a 0.5/3 and 2.4 million viewers.

CBS was third in ratings with a 0.6/3 and in viewers with 2.87 million. “Love Island” at 8 got a 0.5/3 and 2.4 million viewers. At 9, “Big Brother” landed a 1.0/5 and 3.8 million viewers. “Elementary” at 10 received a 0.3/2 and 2.4 million viewers.

ABC was fourth in ratings with a 0.5/3 and in viewers with 2.4 million. “Holey Moley” at 8 had a 0.7/4 and 3.2 million viewers. At 9, “Family Food Fight” got a 0.4/2 and 1.8 million viewers. “Reef Break” at 10 managed a 0.3/2 and 2 million viewers.

Telemundo and Univision tied for fifth in ratings, both with a 0.3/2. Telemundo was fifth in total viewers with 1.034 million, Univision was sixth with 1.003 million.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.2/1 and in viewers with 727,000. The “iZombie” series finale at 8 had a 0.2/1 and 801,000 viewers. “The Outpost” at 9 got a 0.2/1 and 652,000 viewers.
