CAR-lovers stare – but haters stop and glare: it’s that time of year when millions of pounds worth of metal hit London streets.

The capital is once again hosting supercars from Qatar, gracing the likes of plush Mayfair and Knightsbridge where they’re left on double yellow lines and hogging residents parking bays, without permits.

Traffic wardens will no doubt be rubbing their hands with glee as supercar season results in dodgy, illegal parking, with many flash cars parked outside some of the capital’s poshest shops.

To display their owners’ wealth, there are high performance cars like Bugattis, McLarens and top end Mercedes as well as Rollers.

Super luxury vehicles from the likes of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates as well as Kuwait are normally spotted around this time each year.

That’s because the fabulously rich pay thousands just to bring in their four-wheeled toys as they take a holiday in the capital.

But the parade of cars turns into the perfect excuse for glamorous selfies in front of ultra-expensive vehicles 99.9 per cent of us could never afford to buy.

Or, if you’re patient, you’ll catch a glimpse of one of London’s ever-vigilant traffic wardens happily slapping parking fines on their gleaming front windows.

As The Sun Online has previously pointed out, searching for a parking space is a daily struggle for some Londoners.

But Arab businessman don’t appear to suffer from this problem – as they opt to stop where they like and take the fine instead.

The millionaires love coming to London every summer, and are just as happy to flout traffic rules.

The cars that arrive in London once a year are often bespoke versions of famous models, which serve as a magnet for car lovers and motoring photographers in the swankiest parts of London.
