‘Hard Knocks’ teaser: ‘The autumn wind is a Raider’

HBO and “Hard Knocks” are having a lot of fun with the Raiders and the series hasn’t even started.

On Friday, HBO released a new teaser for the training camp docu-series that recalls Steve Sabol’s iconic “The Autumn Wind” poem. Only this time, Liev Schreiber — not John Facenda — provides the narration, and instead of scenes with John Madden, Ken Stabler and Cliff Branch, we get clips of Jon Gruden, Derek Carr, Antonio Brown and others.

You remember the poem, right?

The Autumn Wind is a Raider,Pillaging just for fun.He’ll knock you ’round and upside down,And laugh when he’s conquered and won.

Schreiber’s narration isn’t nearly as dramatic (thunderous?) as Facenda’s, but it will still give Raiders fans all the “feels.” You can check out the video above.

“Hard Knocks: Training Camp With the Oakland Raiders” kicks off its five-episode run at 10 p.m. Aug. 6 on HBO.
