Big Meet Rece Paddles 3rd & 11th Aug
Hi all,
There's been a spot of water recently, and quite a bit of shrubbery growth, so in advance of the Big Meet I planning on doing the loops with a saw over the next two weekends.
Ictaun is joining me tomorrow (Sat 3rd) 10:0 am ish at Barrow to do the longer Loughborough loop and anyone else welcome to join. There is plenty of water, so the river sections my be interesting.
Next Sun 11th is a little bit more complicated as I've a commitment in Mountsorrel from 1:30ish to 4:00pm-ish. So currently my thinking to do the smaller Quorn loop (possibly on SUP for a laugh), starting 10:-10:30 ish from Barrow, then canoe paddle down to Mountsorrel, grab some lunch, do the necessary there, and then paddle back to Barrow after 4pm, with a spot of sawing along the river section.
Again anyone welcome to join and if you do fancy popping down for the paddle, then you can always just complete the Mountsorrel loop without the hanging around therein bit. However, just for general info its the Mountsorrel Revival Day: http://the-mct.co.uk/whats-on - so plenty going on.
Both days looking (mostly) dry, but obv. could change by the 11th.
