Botox injections could stop men climaxing too quickly and help them last four times longer in bed
BOTOX injections could stop blokes climaxing too quickly, sex experts say.
Researchers found the muscle-relaxing jabs helped rats last almost four-times longer on average.
And they believe the treatment will work just as well in fellas who struggle to control their excitement.
Premature ejaculation affects 4 per cent of men and is the most common sexual dysfunction in young lads.
Turkish scientists tested the power of Botox jabs – typically used to ease facial wrinkles – in 21 male rodents.
Some received a single dose of the toxin injected into a muscle near their privates and some received five doses.
A final control group was not injected.
The boffins, from Balikesir University, then stimulated the rats and timed how long it took them to peak.
‘TREATMENT OPTIONS REMAIN LIMITED’
Those given a single dose lasted 1.5-times longer than the untreated group. And those given five doses lasted 3.7-times longer.
Study leader Dr Sakir Ongun said the effects of Botox can last up to nine months in humans.
He added: “Injection of botulinum-A toxin into the bulbospongiosus muscle in rats significantly delayed the ejaculation latency time.
“We suggest that botulinum-A toxin should be considered in the treatment of premature ejaculation.
“Although premature ejaculation is a common disease, treatment options remain limited.”

Sex therapists say romps that last three to seven minutes are “adequate” and seven to thirteen minutes “desirable”.
Anything shorter or longer may disappoint, a poll found.
The research findings are published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine.
