Cummings Says He Scared Off Intruder at His Baltimore Home By ‘Yelling Before the Person Gained Entry Into Residential Portion of the House’
Congressman Elijah Cummings claimed in a statement Friday that he scared off the intruder at his Baltimore home last weekend.
“I was notified of the intrusion by my security system, and I scared the intruder away by yelling before the person gained entry into the residential portion of the house,” Cummings said. “I thank the Baltimore Police Department for their response and ask that all further inquiries be directed to them,” the Associated Press reported.
The home of House Oversight Chairman Elijah Cummings (D-MD) was broken into on Saturday morning at 3:40 AM.
Trump’s first tweet to about Cummings was at 4:14 AM ET on Saturday morning of the 27th which means the burglary happened before Trump’s tweets.
….As proven last week during a Congressional tour, the Border is clean, efficient & well run, just very crowded. Cumming District is a disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess. If he spent more time in Baltimore, maybe he could help clean up this very dangerous & filthy place

On Friday Trump tweeted about the break-in. “Really bad news! The Baltimore house of Elijah Cummings was robbed. Too bad!”
