Audi driver crashes into £1,000,000 worth of supercars in Chelsea
An expensive array of supercars were damaged after an Audi driver crashed into them in the early hours.
A CCTV video showed the car smashing into ‘11’ parked vehicles, including a £300,000 McLaren, £100,000 Porsche Cayenne and £200,000 Bentley Bentayga.
The driver of the Audi Q7 4×4 hit the luxury cars, which were parked in Moore Street, Chelsea, just after midnight.
His car had been following a Porsche before he lost control and flipped over.
Police confirmed the driver had been taken to hospital with his passenger and they were both treated for head injuries.
A police spokesman said: ‘Their condition is not believed to be life-threatening. The driver however continue to receive treatment for serious head injuries.
‘All of the parked cars were empty at the time of the collision. No arrests have been made. Enquiries into the full circumstances continue.’
A witness described the driver as being ‘dazed and in shock’ after he exited the car.
She added he was covered in blood and his skull was visible after suffering a cut on his head.
Resident Summer Haider told Mail Online: ‘I really thought there had been some sort of explosion, like a helicopter coming down’.
Locals estimated the damage caused to the vehicles to be at least £500,000 and said the cars were worth £1million in total.
Residents have previously complained about ‘boy racers’ in the area.
