Inside the ‘world’s worst’ zoo where painfully thin elephants suffer mental breakdowns and tigers are kept in filthy cages by cruel Thai keepers
HARROWING footage has emerged from inside the world’s ‘worst zoo’ where elephants suffer mental trauma and bears are dumped in filthy pits.
Footage taken just last week shows painfully thin elephants chained up while rocking their heads from side-to-side in a clear sign of ”psychological distress”.
The animals are then paraded around the park before being made to play FOOTBALL to entertain mainly overseas visitors.
The upsetting clip comes just months after zookeepers were filmed stabbing the elephants with sharp spikes and forcing tigers to pose for pics at the park is Thailand.
Disturbing footage showed a worker jabbing the jumbos at the Samutprakarn Crocodile Farm and Zoo in Bangkok.
Photos later revealed the elephant’s injuries in footage and photos shared by the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).
In the new images, an algae-covered crocodile is seen emerging from a muddy swamp and a tiger is seen peering from inside a rusty cage.
Elsewhere a very lonely looking bear sits at the bottom of an isolated pit.
Keith Guo, PETA Asia press officer for China, said: “Between 2012 and 2017, the largest number of tourist arrivals in Thailand has come from China.

Since the first videos emerged, animal rights groups have pressured tour companies to stop taking holidaymakers to the enclosure just south of Bangkok.
Chinese firm Ctrip – Asia’s biggest online booking agency that handles millions of holidaymakers a year – has now stopped selling tickets to the zoo.
The firm owns Skyscanner, Trip, and Tours4fun. Yet despite the growing pressure from activists, the zoo continues to operate and animals are still in appalling conditions.
