Yellow vest riot police investigated 300 times for excessive force
The French body that investigates police abuses has launched nearly 300 investigations into alleged excessive use of force by riot police during yellow vest protests since the start of the unrest. The head of the General Inspectorate of the National Police watchdog, Brigitte Jullien, told France’s Libération on Monday 288 investigations into the alleged unjustified use of force against anti-government protesters had been launched since November 2018.
