PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — In the wake of the mass shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio, faith and community leaders are holding a vigil for prayer and action in Northeast Portland on Tuesday night.
Local faith leaders are holding this vigil to call for an end to gun violence and overcome racism and hate in America.
Everyone is welcome to attend. If you’d like to come tonight, the vigil starts at 6 p.m. at the Augustana Lutheran Church, located at Northeast 15th Avenue and Knott Street.
Vigils are also bringing people together in Dayton and El Paso — after dozens were killed and more were injured in those two mass shootings over the weekend.
