Kempton best bets: A James Fanshawe-inspired double to line your pockets
KEMPTON hosts a typically competitive twilight card on Wednesday evening.
It’s a track I love punting at and there are a couple of runners who are well worth doubling up.
Leg 1 – The Pinto Kid (7.30)
James Fanshawe’s progressive four-year-old loves it at the Sunbury track.
He is 3-3 at the course and he had more up his sleeve than the winning margin of a neck suggests when winning off 4lb lower on his last visit.
There is a strong suspicion that the handicapper has yet to get to grips with the smooth-travelling son of High Chaparral.
Leg 2 – Carnival Rose (8.30)
I’m team Fanshawe all the way this evening and I expect this filly to run a big race.
She opened her account in fine style over C&D in December and she ran a cracker on her return to action at Chelmsford in the spring.
She flopped when tackling fast ground over 1m at Yarmouth, but the combination of a drop in trip and class and switch back to this artificial surface should see an improved effort.
Double trouble
William Hill and Betway are offering 10-1 for the Fanshawe double at Kempton on Wednesday night
