Chilima Fools Chakwera On Electoral Case

Chilima was the first to file petition and dragged Chakwera along. They ended up with a joint petition in the Constitutional Court.

Chakwera had thought he would ride on Chilima’s reasons in calling for a re-run.

In court, Chilima has failed to prove his case.

He has admitted that none of their monitors filed any complaint at any point.

Chilima told the court he is not challenging the electoral figures but the various electoral processes.

He says that there was no fraud in the election; furthermore, he says that use of Tippex did not change the results at all.

His response has brought panic in Chakwera camp as they now feel he fooled them into filing a court challenge.
