[Men's Soccer] Men's Soccer Falcons Picked Fourth in KCAC Preseason Poll
WICHITA, Kan. – The Friends University Falcons have been tabbed to come in fourth in the KCAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, the league released today (Aug. 9).
The Oklahoma Wesleyan University Eagles were picked first with 10 first-place votes, while the Kansas Wesleyan University Coyotes, winners of last season's conference regular season and tournament championships, came in second and snagged three first-place tallies.
The Falcons wound up third last season and won a 6-3 KCAC postseason tourney quarterfinal match over York College to advance to the tournament semifinals.
Friends will be led this season by first-year head coach Joe Dincecco, who arrives after a pair of NCAA D-I assistant coaching stops, most recently for two seasons at the University of South Florida.
The Falcons are set to open the 2019 campaign at home vs. Midland (Neb.) University on Aug. 24 at Adair-Austin Stadium. The KCAC opener is also at home on Sept. 24 against Avila University.
