Two arrested after boy, 9, found alone sheltering under pier during storm
A nine-year-old boy is recovering after he was found under Brighton Pier sheltering from a storm in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Sussex Police say the boy was found at 2am by volunteers from Brighton Beach Patrol.
Meanwhile two people, a 30-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman, from London, have been arrested on suspicion of child neglect and have been remanded in custody.
A spokesman said the investigation was ongoing and urged members of the public not to speculate around the circumstances.
Large parts of the UK were hit storms on Friday while a yellow weather warning was put out by the Met Office across the south coast.
