I love my partner so much but I’ve gone off sex since having kids

DEAR DEIDRE: I HAVE gone right off sex since having my children.

My son is two years old and my daughter is five months. They were both planned and are very much wanted.

I am 25 and my partner is 26. I love him and he is an amazing dad. I know he misses sex but I have no desire for it at all.

I am still breast-feeding, which I believe reduces your sex drive. But I want to sort this out as soon as possible.

DEIDRE SAYS: What you describe is very natural. Breast-feeding causes hormonal changes that can affect your sex drive and you have two small children to look after, which will be extremely tiring.

Ask your partner to help you arrange your timetable so that at least one evening a week you have some time to put yourself first and relax.
