Frank Stampfl’s Tiered Fantasy Football Rankings

Davis Mattek and Anthony Amico’s Rankings Can Be Found HERE.

When it comes to drafting in Fantasy Football, I love to create tiers within my fantasy football rankings. What this allows you to do is group together players with similar projections. As certain tiers begin to dwindle across different positions, you can clearly see which position you should be focused on. For example, I was drafting from pick 11 in the FLEX (Fantasy League of Experts) last Friday and Joe Mixon was my last running back available in tier two. Meanwhile, every one of my tier two wide receivers was still available, so I knew I could draft Mixon in round one and still get one of those other receivers three picks later in round two. Tiering players also helps a ton when it comes to auctions. As you get to the final players in a certain tier, you can expect said player to go for more than their expected auction price. The best way to attack this in an auction is to either bid on the first player nominated from a tier or bid on a player in the middle of a tier. Do not wait until the end of a tier when it comes to bidding in auctions because, more often than not, you will end up overpaying. Anywhoodles, below I’ll break down my tiers, what each of them mean, and a few players I’m higher or lower on than the consensus.
