Tanner Boser vs. Daniel Spitz announced for UFC on ESPN 6
It didn’t take long for the UFC to find another fight for Tanner Boser.
One of Canada’s top heavyweight prospects, Boser (16-5-1) was supposed to debut at UFC 240 on July 27 in Edmonton, Alberta, but his bout was canceled just days out when opponent Giacomo Lemos failed a drug test.
On Tuesday, officials announced that Boser has now been booked to fight Daniel Spitz (6-2) at UFC on ESPN 6 on Oct. 18 at TD Garden in Boston. The matchup was first reported by TSN.
Boser has won four of his last fights, including a unanimous decision win over UFC and Bellator veteran Chase Gormley. The 28-year-old is coming off of a fourth-round leg kick TKO of Jared Kilkenny from a Unified MMA show in May.
Spitz will be making his fourth UFC appearance and his first since June of last year. He is 1-2 inside the Octagon, sandwiching a 24-second TKO of Anthony Hamilton between losses to Walt Harris and Mark Godbeer.
