Former midfielder opens up about leaving Tottenham

Josh Onomah admitted it was weird leaving Tottenham – but is excited for his new challenge with Championship new boys Fulham.

The 22-year-old, who spent four senior years at Spurs having come through their academy, left his boyhood club on transfer deadline day and moved across London as part of the deal that saw England Under-21 teammates Ryan Sessegnon come the other way.

Onomah hadn’t featured for Tottenham since the end of the 2016/2017 campaign, spending the previous two seasons on loan at Aston Villa and Sheffield Wednesday after falling of favour under Mauricio Pochettino, making just 32 appearances in total, scoring once.
