Re: “Red flag laws justified even if few mentally ill buy guns” (Letter to the editor, Aug. 11):
Letter-writer Charlie Shoemaker questions red flag laws. Here is another view.
Anybody who acquires a weapon can imagine killing another sentient being. The mere act of contemplating murder is a sign of mental illness.
Let’s not let any crazy people have weapons. That includes everybody.
