‘To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before’ Sequel Scores Pre-Valentine’s Day Release

The sequel to the Netflix rom-com hit “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” will hit the screens on Feb. 12, 2020, Netflix announced Thursday.

“#ToAllTheBoys: P.S. I Still Love You premieres February 12!” Netflix’s See What’s Next account tweeted. “And a third film — To All The Boys: Always and Forever Lara Jean — is already in production!!!”

Jenny Han, the author of “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” novel, also tweeted the news on Thursday, writing, “It’s official,” accompanying a video featuring stars Lana Condor, Noah Centineo and Jordan Fisher.

News of the sequel, which was officially announced in December of last year, was not unexpected given the success of the original and the fact that there are three installments in Han’s book series on which the films are based. That first book was followed by “P.S. I Still Love You,” and then “Always and Forever, Laura Jean.”

Condor stars as Lara Jean Covey, a high school junior whose sister sends out the deliberately never-to-be-sent letters to boys on whom she had a crush — sparking much drama as well as a budding romance with cool-kid crush Peter (played by Centineo).

Matt Kaplan’s Ace Entertainment is the producer behind all three films, along with AwesomenessTV, which was acquired by Viacom last year, and Overbrook Entertainment.
