Police seek suspect after San Jose shooting

SAN JOSE — Police are looking for a suspect after a 17-year-old was shot and wounded in West San Jose on Saturday.

The shooting was reported just before noon on the 3200 block of Williamsburg Drive, according to San Jose police.

That is the same block where one man was killed and another was grazed by gunfire in a shooting just after midnight Monday.

The 17-year-old victim of Saturday’s shooting was taken to a hospital with “at least one” gunshot wound, but his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, said Sgt. Enrique Garcia.

The department did not provide a description of the suspect, and said a motive for the shooting is still under investigation.

Police asked anyone with information to call 911.
