Man missing after trying to rescue his dog who fell in the Lincoln Park Lagoon
The Chicago Fire Department called off the search about 8:15 p.m. and deemed the situation a body recovery mission.
A 29-year-old man is missing after jumping into the Lincoln Park Lagoon in an attempt to rescue his dog who had fallen in.
About 6:15 p.m., Chicago Fire Department’s Scuba Team began searching for the man who jumped in the lagoon but were unable to locate him, Chicago police said. The dog was rescued.
The Chicago Fire Department called off the search about 8:15 p.m. and deemed the situation a body recovery mission, officials said. The CPD Marine Unit were conducting a search of the of the lagoon’s surface but have postponed search efforts until 8:30 a.m. Sunday.
