Police vehicle crashes into San Francisco bus stop

SAN FRANCISCO — A police vehicle crashed into a bus stop at Geary Boulevard and Webster Street in San Francisco’s Japantown on Saturday, but whether anyone was hurt was not immediately available.

On Saturday night police were asking motorists to avoid the intersection, a popular spot among people wishing to cut through Golden State Park.

The accident happened about 5 p.m. Saturday.

The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency said delays of buses on the busy 38 Geary line were likely.
