Police investigating Highway 4 shooting in Antioch

ANTIOCH — Authorities briefly shut down westbound Highway 4 near Hillcrest Avenue on Saturday, after receiving reports of a shooting.

The California Highway Patrol responded to reports of a shooting around 3:30 p.m. Saturday, according to CHP Officer Sean Wilkenfeld.

One victim had at least one bullet round in his vehicle, and no one was injured in the shooting, Wilkenfeld said.

The victim is cooperating in the investigation, Wilkenfeld said. Police are still investigating the cause of the shooting.
