The SC on Wednesday sought the Centre's response within seven days on two PILs seeking lifting of the unprecedented clampdown on communication facilities in the Kashmir Valley, alleging that it violated freedom of speech and rights of residents. The SC also permitted CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechury to visit Srinagar to inquire about the health of party colleague Yousuf Tarigami.
