Look out for 4 'Cs' while electing representatives: Vice Prez
Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu said on Thursday that people should look out for 4 'Cs'--capacity, character, calibre and conduct--while electing their representatives.
People should be careful in electing their representatives based on the 4 "Cs", Naidu reiterated.
But, some try to dominate using caste, community, cash and criminality, he rued.
There is need to improve quality in public life also, according to Naidu.
Speaking at an event organised by the Quality Circle Forum of India, Hyderabad chapter, Naidu also said there need not be any panic over the talk of economic slowdown in the country as its economic foundations were strong.
The Vice President felt that a 'Code of Professional Social Responsibility' on the lines of Corporate Social Responsibility should be adopted by various professions, including doctors, lawyers, chartered accountants and others to take up specially-focused activities to help the marginalised and downtrodden sections of society.
