Tottenham handed favorable Champions League group stage draw

The draw for the 2019/2020 Champions League group stages have been made and Tottenham have been dealt a good hand.
In pot two, Spurs knew they were almost guaranteed to get a European powerhouse, although there was also 16 per cent that Mauricio Pochettino’s men would get paired with Russia champions Zenit St Petersburg, which was by far the easiest of the pot one sides.


Tottenham avoided going to the Russia’s second biggest city and were drawn to play Bundesliga winners Bayern Munich, meaning they will return to the scene of their pre-season Audi Cup victory last month to play the German side for the first time in a competitive match since the 1982/1983 UEFA Cup.
