Pictures from the scene show the street, named The Drive, has been cordoned off by cops while forensic experts investigate.

According to the Ilford Recorder, police were seen searching a car outside the address where the man and woman were found.

Cops have also asked neighbours if they have any CCTV cameras which may cover the property, it has been reported.

A Met Police spokeswoman confirmed that officers found the bodies after being called to the address at 12.57pm today and that no arrests have been made.

She said: “Police were called to a house on The Drive in Ilford at 12:57hrs on Thursday, 29 August following a report of an injured person.

“Officers, London Ambulance Service and the Air Ambulance Service attended and found a man and a woman who were both declared deceased.

“Work is underway to establish their identities.

“A crime scene is in place. There are no arrests. Enquiries continue.”

A London Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics were called to “reports of an incident” at the home at 1.03pm but the two people were “pronounced dead at the scene.”
