Ellie Goulding and Caspar Jopling’s wedding preparations underway as they put up teepees, HUGE marquee and stage at castle in Yorkshire
ELLIE Goulding and Caspar Jopling’s wedding preparations are well underway – with huge marquees being built in the grounds of Yorkshire’s jaw-dropping Castle Howard.
The 32-year-old singer and art dealer Caspar, 27, are expected to welcome pals including Ed Sheeran, Rita Ora and Princess Eugenie to the venue.
The sprawling home, which appeared in Brideshead Revisited, has long thought to be where the pair will marry on Saturday.
And judging by some of the things being unloaded ahead of the big day, the wedding is going to have a ‘festival’ theme.
Pictures show up to 50 people building various structures within the grounds, including a huge marquee beside the ornate Atlas Fountain.
Elsewhere, workers are seen building two ‘sleep zones’ of teepee tents – one within the Rose Garden and one beside it.
Snaps taken yesterday also show deliveries of urinals, people trimming bushes and trees on the grounds, and putting up lights inside the main marquee.
Elsewhere, there were piles of large wicker baskets and other wicker furniture.
Ellie and Caspar announced their engagement by placing a traditional-style notice in The Times in August last year.
It read: “The engagement is announced between Caspar, son of The Hon Nicholas Jopling of Yorkshire and Mrs Jayne Warde-Aldam of Yorkshire, and Elena, daughter of Mr Arthur Goulding of Hertfordshire and Mrs Tracey Sumner of West Midlands.”
Speaking on the Jonathan Ross Show in May, Ellie admitted Caspar proposed to her as a way to break the boredom of doing a jigsaw puzzle.
She said: “We were having maybe a couple of drinks and we were doing a Jigsaw puzzle. He likes them. I think it was quite an easy one. Probably 400 [pieces].
“Anyway I think he was getting bored of it and then he proposed. It was quite romantic for some reason.”
However, he later proposed for a second time after he didn’t get down on one knee.

As The Sun revealed in July, Ellie was seen to send invites to Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice as well as their mother Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York.
She has been good friends with Princess Eugenie for years, with the pair going on nights out together and holidaying in Jordan in 2017.
In fact, Ellie and Caspar are said to have joined Princess Eugenie and husband Jack Brooksbank on several double dates.
