Student, 20, becomes social media star after showing off pics of FIVE-INCH thumb
A STUDENT is blessed with the ideal implement for hitching a lift — a five-inch thumb.
Jacob Pina has no idea why the digit is so wildly out of proportion with the rest of his hand.
But he has been proudly showing it off on social media and winning thousands of admirers around the world.
In one video, the 20-year-old says: “Yes, it is very long; yes, it is real and, yes, I have never lost a thumb battle.”
But he doesn’t seem to have put the long thumb to good use with clips showing it knocking over a bottle and tapping his dog on its head.
American Jacob, from West Port, Massachusetts, said: “There is no reason it’s so big. It’s just an anomaly.

“When people see my thumb, they freak out and measure it next to their own thumb.
“It’s always great to be different and embrace your own essence.”
