Disney sells stake in YES Network to investor group that includes Amazon.com for $3.47 billion
The Walt Disney Company said Thursday it has sold its stake in the YES Network to an investor group that includes Amazon.com Inc. , Sinclair Broadcast Group , and Yankee Global Enterprises. The group acquired the 80% of the YES Network not already held by the New York Yankees for $3.47 billion, it said. The YES Network broadcasts games for the Yankees, Brooklyn Nets, Major League Soccer's New York City FC, and the WNBA's New York Liberty.
