Celtic hero Artur Boruc leads Legia Warsaw chants with megaphone during Europa League clash with Rangers
BOURNEMOUTH keeper Artur Boruc has been pictured leading Legia Warsaw fans with a MEGAPHONE during the clash against Rangers.
The former Celtic keeper, 39, was spotted in amongst the Polish ultras for the Europa League tie.
Borus is a cult hero among the Polish club’s support after spending six years there as a player.
Boruc this week sent a video message to Legia punters — via the club’s official Twitter channel, saying he would join them in the away end.
He said: “I would like to invite you for the away game against Glasgow Rangers.
“Hopefully I will be there with you. Keep your fingers crossed. All of Legia…always together.”
Boruc was in the visitor’s end as numerous flares were set off, causing a brief stoppage in play.
The Polish fans also revealed a massive banner of Pope John Paul II at Ibrox.
The sectarian dig depicts an image of the Catholic leader, who was born in Poland.
Underneath his face were the words ‘be not afraid’.
Meanwhile, Rangers placed a banner with the message “#EqualGame” in the closed section of the Broomloan Stand this evening.
It is part of the Uefa sanction over the sectarian singing heard at last month’s game against St Joseph’s.
The Light Blues also urged supporters to email them if they “witness any inappropriate behaviour” during tonight’s game.
They displayed messages on the large LED boards at Ibrox ahead of the match.

“It is vital we represent Rangers in a positive manner and refrain from embarrassing our club.”
