Ghost hunters spark fury over ‘vile’ plan to hold séance to contact Myra Hindley and livestream it on Facebook
GHOSTBUSTERS are holding a séance to contact Moors Murderer Myra Hindley — and will livestream it on Facebook.
The Ghosts of Britain group says it is trying to help a relative of one of the child killer’s victims who claims she is haunting her.
It wants to summon Hindley from beyond the grave to tell her to stop pestering the woman.
The group claims to have the consent of everyone connected to the case — but its plan has run into a storm of criticism.
The brother of Moors Murder victim Keith Bennett described the séance as a “sordid affair” and called for it to be halted.
Alan Bennett, 64, said: “Many in the paranormal community have messaged me to say they are horrified about the activities of this particular group.”
Hindley, who killed five children with Ian Brady between 1963 and 1964, died aged 60 in 2002.
She was called “the world’s most notorious murderess” by Ghosts of Britain in a Facebook clip about Tuesday’s séance.
One of the ghost hunters, Linzi Sheeran, also boasted: “We are going to make history with this.”

Her partner, Lee Steer, added: “Please don’t shoot us for doing this. We are here purely to help.”
But Facebook users condemned the group.
Rachel Louise Halsall said: “Pretending to summon her spirit for entertainment is above and beyond. It’s actually vile.”
