Coronation Street fans slam ‘rubbish gangster’ Rachel as a ‘budget Phelan’ as people trafficker returns and shoots Jan – and fear she will return to finish the job

CORONATION Street fans are not impressed with “rubbish gangster” Rachel returning to shoot builder Jan.

The secret police informant – who is played by actor Piotr Baumann in the ITV soap – was shot by salon manager and part-time bad guy Rachel in tonight’s episode.

But the far from dramatic scenes that saw her sneak up on his as he hugged Eileen Grimshaw at a truck stop before fleeing without being stopped, left fans cold.

One wrote: “How the f*** did they not even see or hear Rachel approaching?”

A second said: “How on earth have those two morons not spotted Rachel yet?”

Another added: “Rachel is the LOUDEST secretive shooter I’ve EVER seen!”

Later when Jan was given the all clear despite being shot through the stomach, Eileen changed her mind and decided to leave with Jan for a life on the run.

He told her: “Listen to me you will find someone else, someone who deserves you.”

Eileen replied: “I don’t want anyone else.

“After Pat I didn’t think I’d trust anyone else but you’ve shown me that I can. I know I’m no spring chicken but I’m too young to give up on love.”

But fans fear rubbish gangster Rachel will return to finish the job she started and murder Jan.

One wrote: “I love how there’s armed guards at Jan’s bedside for little old Rachel.”

A second said: “Hope Jan is going to be ok and there isn’t a horrible twist.”

Another added: “My money is on Eileen being written out by going into witness protection with Jan!!!”
