Though he took an L on Tuesday night, Mariners’ starter Yusei Kikuchi reached the 100 strikeout milestone for his rookie year, making him the 11th player in franchise history to rack up 100 K’s in their first MLB season.
The 2000s were a dry period for Seattle pitchers making splashy debuts, but apart from that, every other decade of Mariner existence is represented on this list.
