Pacifica police reported they seized nine assault rifles and five handguns that violated California laws, plus "multiple" extended capacity magazines, at the home of 30-year-old Dominic Rigling.
PACIFICA — Authorities said they found a cache of illegal guns and ammunition in a search of a Pacifica man’s home over the weekend.
Pacifica police reported they seized nine assault rifles and five handguns that violated California laws, plus “multiple” extended capacity magazines, at the home of 30-year-old Dominic Rigling.
Police pulled Rigling over just after 9:30 p.m. Sunday for a traffic stop, during which an officer reported finding evidence of drugs in the car, authorities said.
Rigling allowed officers to search his car, according to police, where they found a loaded, concealed gun. Police said Rigling admitted during an interview that he had illegal guns at his home, which led to the search.
Rigling was booked into jail on tentative charges of carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle, possessing large capacity magazines and possessing illegal assault weapons, authorities said.
Pacifica police are still investigating the case, and asked anyone with information to call them at (650) 738-7314, or reach the anonymous Silent Witness Tip Line at (650) 359-4444.
