Tiger Woods’ son Charlie mimics his dad while watching Rafael Nadal at US Open
TIGER Woods’ son Charlie shows he’s a chip shot off the old block as he mimics his dad’s movements at the tennis.
The golf legend, 43, and his ten-year-old lad were in the crowd to see Rafael Nadal beat Marin Cilic at the US Open. And the pair were seen stroking their chins, adjusting their caps and pumping their fists in unison at the round of 16 match in New York.
The superstar golfer was on his feet to punch the air at the Arthur Ashe stadium, as Nadal won 6-3 3-6 6-1 6-2 to reach the quarter finals at Flushing Meadows.
And girlfriend Erica, 35, was at his side, looking bored at times, cosying up to her partner and then on her feet to cheer when Tiger saluted his pal Rafa.
Woods, 43, was on his feet fist-pumping at the end as Nadal fired a forehand winner on match point to seal the victory and make his 40th quarter-final at a Grand Slam event.
Masters champion Woods tweeted afterwards: “Just an incredible performance and awesome way to close out the match.”
Nadal was asked about Woods during his on-court post-match interview.
He said: “Playing in front of Tiger for me is a very special thing.
“I always said I never had big idols, but if I had to say one, one idol is him.
“I always tried to follow him every single shot that he hit during the whole year.
“For me, it’s a big pleasure to have him here supporting. Means a lot. He’s a big legend of the sport, one of the greatest sportsmen of all time.
“I just want to congratulate him for one of the more amazing comebacks in sport, winning the Masters this year.”
Rafa then posted a photo of him with Tiger after the match, with the caption: “Always an inspiration for me. Thanks for coming today to the tennis, Tiger!!!! #vamos @usopen #newyork”
Tiger has settled down with Erica after he reportedly slept with around 120 women during his failed marriage to Elin Nordegren, who hit him with a golf club when she discovered his infidelities.

As well as being arrested for having five different drug types in his system and falling asleep at the wheel, Woods underwent surgery to fuse two vertebrae in his lower back last year.
Woods is currently recovering after undergoing a fifth knee operation. Last month the 15-time Major champion had the surgery on his left knee last week to repair minor cartilage damage.
This is the fifth knee surgery Woods has had since 1994 – and the first since his Masters win in April of this year.
