[Women's Soccer] Women's Soccer Suffers Loss to (RV) Cumberlands
WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – The Bryan College women's soccer team were coming off a convincing victory earlier in the week and were hoping to build on it when they traveled to the University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) on Saturday, but the talented Patriots had other plans. Cumberlands, who's receiving votes in the latest NAIA Coaches' Top-25 poll, entered the match with the Lions having previously collected a trio of wins and a tie against the 8th-ranked team in the country. The Patriots added to their case of being a top-25 team when they posted two goals in each half of their match with the Lions, as they took the 4-0 decision and improved to 4-0-1 overall. On the other hand, Bryan's non-conference lineup is sure to prepare them when Appalachian Athletic Conference play gets underway next weekend. When considering their 1-3 record, the Lions have already faced-off against a top-10 team, another in the top-20, and one receiving votes.
