Lafayette staple, Bell’s Sporting Goods, closing its doors

A staple in the community is closing at the end of the year.

Bell’s Sporting Goods has been a family business since 1946.

David Bell has worked there for 50 years.

He says their sales are declining as online sales have done away with their retail business.

Over the years, Bell says they’ve made various relationships with coaches and customers and that’s what they’re going to miss.
