The ED has initiated a probe under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act against Rolls Royce of UK on alleged bribery charges in its contract with Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) and other public sector undertakings, including ONGC and GAIL. At least 100 purchase orders were placed by HAL during 2005-2013 with Rolls Royce where the total deals exceeded Rs 4,700 crore.
