Taliban’s Red Unit commander among dozens killed in Wardak airstrikes
The security forces killed dozens of militants including a commander of the Red Unit of Taliban in Maidan Wardak province.
The Special Operations Corps said in a statement that the security forces conducted airstrikes in Nerkh district of Wardak province.
The statement further added that the airstrikes killed 23 Taliban militants including one of the Red Unit commanders of the group.
Furthermore, the Special Operations Corps said the airstikes also killed 15 militants of the Red Unit of Taliban.
The Special Corps said the airstrikes also killed the shadow district chief of Taliban for Jalrez district of Wardak province.
