Need ideas to liquidate a bicycle hoard

0
My daughter recently purchased a building and the stipulation was she had to buy it lock, stock and barrel. In the basement is a collection of mostly road bikes and LOTS of parts, accessories, wheels, seats, cranks, hubs and frames. There are 40 complete bikes plus some frames along with multiple exercise bikes, weight machines and exercise equipment. The previous owner was a cross country bicyclist and had god tastes. Brands include; Bianchi, Fuji, Gary Fisher, Giant, GT, Lotus, Mangusta, Mike Melton, Ochsner, Puch, Raleigh, Schwann, Scott, Specialized, Trek and Viscount to name a few.

We knew it would be a big task to clean the building out and she is overwhelmed, to say the least. We have contacted a few local bike shops but they have no interest in used bikes. These are mostly steel framed bikes probably dating from the 70’s to 90’s maybe, but that is only a guess. There are plastic totes full of riding clothes, pants, jerseys, jackets, camping gear, bike panniers and bags and CamelBacks. I’ve found some Campagnolo cranks, sprockets, wheel sets and hubs too and I recognized that name from my brief immersion in cycling back in the 70’s as being high quality components. There are boxes of new pedals, custom Italian leather seats, NOS Shimano sprockets and more...

Ideally she would like to sell ALL the bikes and accessories as a single lot but we need some suggestions of where to begin. BTW, we are in North Central Ohio and would entertain any and all suggestions. We are also open to private viewings by appointment to interested parties.
