Parrott responds to Mick McCarthy’s comments about him playing for Spurs first team

Tottenham striker Troy Parrott has got a lot of people to stand up and take notice of his performances in youth football last season.

The 17-year-old was prolific in front of goal, and also impressed with his displays during pre-season when he was involved with the first team.

The teenager is rated extremely highly at the club and has even been named in the Champions League squad by Mauricio Pochettino.

Big things are expected of the youngster in his home country too with many believing that he is the nation’s biggest goal-scoring talent since former Spurs star Robbie Keane.

The youngster was handed his first cap for Ireland U-21 as he came off the bench against Sweden on Tuesday and marked his debut with a brace.
