Afghan forces fully clear 2 districts of Taliban militants in Farah and Takhar

The Afghan forces fully cleared two districts of Taliban militants in Farah and Takhar provinces, the Ministry of Defense said.

According to a statement released by defense ministry, the Afghan forces launched a clearance in Anar Dara district of Farah on Thursday night which continued until Friday.

The statement further added that the security forces fully cleared the district of Taliban militants inflicting heavy casualties on the militants.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Defense said the soldiers of the Special Operations Corps conducted clearance operations in Yangi Qala district of Takhar and fully cleared the district of Taliban militants.

The Ministry of Defense also added that the security forces have inflicted heavy casualties on the militants but did not elaborate further regarding the figure.
