The view from the lookout on 875-metre Mont-Tremblant was of low, rounded mountains, covered in Boreal forest, extending like waves all the way to the horizon. Hints of red, gold and orange were beginning to appear in the forest canopy, signalling that in a week or two, at most, the region will erupt in bold colours as if an unseen hand has gripped the land and shaken it like a kaleidoscope.
